Students help launch wig program for local cancer patients
Aug 6, 2025

On June 10, students from River Valley High School’s Cheer Team and California Scholarship Federation (CSF) visited Adventist Health and Rideout’s Cancer Care Center to deliver a meaningful gift. Over the school year, these students raised $1,000 through bake sales, community events, and football game fundraisers to support our cancer patients.
Their gift is helping us launch a new wig initiative, providing custom experiences for patients undergoing treatment. Through the program, patients receive a voucher to Queens Wigs, a local shop where they can choose a wig that fits their style, receive personalized styling, and learn proper care techniques. We hope this empowers our patients to face treatment with confidence and dignity.
