Help provide a place for mothers, families and caregivers to grieve.
Each year, 10-20% of pregnancies are lost at various stages. Women and families often mourn these losses alone and in silence, without having a designated place to grieve, which can make their loss harder to bear. Their caregivers, nurses and providers also go through a grieving process alongside their patients who have experienced a loss.
At Adventist Health and Rideout, we seek to live God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope in those we care for. Led by the staff in our Family Birth Center, Adventist Health Rideout Foundation is working to create a Pregnancy Loss Memorial at Sutter Cemetery, where families who have experienced pregnancy loss can honor, grieve and remember their little ones.
Your gift will create an inviting space with benches for reflection, a memorial plaque and landscaping. Donations will also fund bereavement memorial items provided to families in the hospital.
